Professor i rettshistorie; dr.philos.Gudmund Sandvik v (1925-2008) var medlem av Samerettsutvalget og Rettsgruppen som utredet retten til land og vann i Finnmark. Han utarbeidet blant anna den historiske begrunnelsen for den nye paragrafen i grunnloven om samenes rettsstilling.
